🙅‍♀️ 단답/직설적 표현 → 🙆‍♀️ 비즈니스식 정중 표현으로 바꾸는 연습이 필요합니다!

❌ Did you do it?

→ ✅ Did you get a chance to (work on it)?

✔ 왜? “Did you do it?”은 명령·추궁하는 느낌이 강해서 상대가 방어적으로 느낄 수 있어요!

​

“Did you get a chance to~?”는 상대가 바쁘다는 걸 고려하는 배려가 담겨 훨씬 부드럽고 예의 바른 뉘앙스를 준답니다!

​

❌ Wrong! / Mistake!

→ ✅ There might be a few things to fine-tune.

✔ 왜 ‘There might be’를 쓰나요~?

​

직접 “Wrong!”이라고 말하면 상대의 실수를 정면으로 지적하는 거라 기분 나쁘게 들릴 수 있겠죠?!

​

‘There might be~’라고 하면 확실하지는 않지만 조금 수정할 부분이 있을지도 몰라요”라는 완곡한 제안이 됩니다 🙂

✔ 왜 ‘fine-tune’을 쓰나요?! 무슨 뜻일까요?!

​

“Fix”나 “Correct”는 큰 실수를 고친다는 뉘앙스지만,

‘fine-tune’은 “아주 작은 부분을 다듬는다”는 뜻이라 훨씬 긍정적이고 세련된 느낌을 줍니다👏🏻

​

❌ Do it fast.

→ ✅ It would be great if we could have it finalized soon.

✔Do it fast는 명령조라 부담을 줄 수 있겠죠?!

“It would be great if we could~”는 요청을 제안처럼 완화해서,

“가능하다면 빨리 마무리되면 좋겠다”는 협조 요청의 뉘앙스가 됩니다.

→ ✅ I really appreciate your quick turnaround on this!

“Thank you”라고 하면 일반적인 감사 표현이지만

‘I really appreciate’는 상대의 노고를 인정하는 뉘앙스!!

‘Quick turnaround’ 는 빠르게 처리해 준 것”을 구체적으로 칭찬하는 표현이라 훨씬 프로페셔널해요☺️
